Kenya's retreat scene is concentrated on the Indian Ocean coast around Diani Beach and Watamu, and inland in the Rift Valley and Mount Kenya foothills. Diani hosts beachside yoga retreats year-round, often combined with snorkeling, dhow sailing, and Swahili coastal culture. Inland retreats run in safari-adjacent settings, sometimes combining yoga with game drives. Kenyan Maasai cultural elements appear at some land-based retreats — choose centers with proper community partnerships. English and Swahili are both widely spoken. Vegetarian food is the norm at retreat centers. The dry seasons (January–March, July–September) are the most reliable. Most Western passports require an eTA.
