Panama's retreat scene is concentrated in two regions. Bocas del Toro (Caribbean) hosts beachside yoga retreats on the small archipelago islands — Isla Bastimentos and Isla Colón especially — combining yoga with snorkeling and rainforest excursions. The Pacific province of Veraguas (Santa Catalina, the Azuero Peninsula) is emerging as a quieter, more rustic yoga-and-surf destination. The cool central highlands around Boquete and El Valle de Antón host yoga, silent, and wellness retreats at comfortable mountain altitudes, with many international retirees nearby. Panama City itself has a growing urban yoga and breathwork scene. Spanish is the working language; English is widely spoken at international-facing centers, especially at Caribbean and highland retreats. Most Western passports get 90–180 days visa-free entry. The dry season (December–April) is the most reliable retreat window; the green season has afternoon rain but lower prices. Cost is moderate by Latin American standards — $700–$1,800 for a week.
