Meditation & Yoga Retreats in Croatia

51 retreat centers — page 3 of 3

Croatia has become one of Europe's fastest-growing yoga and silent retreat destinations, helped by the Adriatic coast and a long retreat season. The Dalmatian islands — Hvar, Brač, Vis, Korčula — host beachside yoga retreats in renovated stone villages and small island resorts; some centers run silent week-long retreats with sea swimming built into the schedule. Istria, the country's northern peninsula, offers yoga retreats in olive-grove farmhouses with strong Italian-influenced cuisine. The mainland coast around Split, Zadar, and Dubrovnik hosts more conventional yoga-and-wellness weeks, often with day excursions to nearby national parks (Plitvice, Krka). The interior — Slavonia, the Lika region — has emerging silent and Buddhist retreats in quieter, forested settings. Croatian and English are both used; international-facing centers run primarily in English. Mediterranean vegetarian food is the norm. May–June and September–October are the most comfortable retreat seasons; July–August can be hot but suits coastal retreats. EU passport holders enter freely (Croatia is in Schengen); many other nationalities get 90-day visa-free access. Cost: €600–€1,500 for a week.
