Meditation & Yoga Retreats in Jamaica
50 retreat centers — page 3 of 3
Jamaica's retreat scene is concentrated on the western coast around Negril and the south coast at Treasure Beach, with smaller options near Port Antonio on the east. Negril's seven-mile beach hosts a long-established cluster of yoga and wellness resorts running back-to-back retreats year-round; some integrate Jamaican cultural elements like drumming, Rasta food traditions, and reggae soundtracks. The Blue Mountains east of Kingston offer cooler, quieter retreats among coffee plantations. Treasure Beach is the more bohemian, lower-key end of the scene. Cannabis is informally tolerated and some retreats integrate it; vet whether that fits your practice. English is the national language. Vegetarian and Ital (Rastafari plant-based) food is widely available. December–April is the dry season and the peak retreat window; September–October has hurricane risk. Most Western passports get 30–90 days visa-free entry. Cost varies widely: budget retreats $700–$1,200 a week, mid-range $1,500–$3,000, high-end wellness resorts well above.
