Uzbekistan has a very small retreat scene; the country's deep Sufi heritage (Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva) is more cultural-spiritual than retreat-style. Uzbek, Russian, and English are increasingly used. Best seasons run April–May and September–October. Most Western passports get 30-day visa-free entry.
