How to get there

By car, from the Causeway Stores/Post Office in Chiddingstone Causeway, follow the B2027 west. Take the third right into Bore Place Road, signposted 'Bore Place.' Continue along the avenue of trees, bearing right at the first junction. After about half a mile, take the first left into the drive, signposted 'Bore Place,' and follow it over cattle grids to the car park. The postal address is Chiddingstone, but the nearest village is Chiddingstone Causeway.

Public transport: A frequent train service runs from London Charing Cross, Waterloo East, and London Bridge to Sevenoaks station (30-35 minutes). Taxis are available from Sevenoaks. The nearest smaller station is Penshurst, about 2.6 miles away, but taxis are not easily available there. Hildenborough and Hever stations are also about five miles away.
